So, for those that don't really understand what the big deal is with a digital currency and no way to use cash (coming sooner than you think). Today I woke up to an email from my credit card processor basically wanting me to stop selling certain product in exchange for service. Now, they won't say which products, but I have a good idea (I think!?) But essentially they will withhold funds until I comply.
I've been in this movie a couple of times with financial institutions so it's not really a shock, but I am getting too old and too tired for this game. Having run this business for over 22 years, we've also been picked on by the TGA for selling "one answer to cancer", and "zinc chloride", the QLD Health department has had a couple of bites of us (in one instance under instructions from the TGA judging by the close proximity in time to demands from the TGA), then after a customer put a complain in for us not displaying a QR code for all that convid track and trace rubbish. Then the TGA hit again and stripped our website to a shell making us remove all tradition info for essential oils and herbs (when websites all around us had that very same info, if not more on their website.
What's it all about folks? No, I'm not a bad egg. I've never sold anything that is illegal. I just try to help people every day. It's about control (it always has been about control), and in my specific instance, stopping useful natural therapies. I have a friend that is currently being dragged through court by the TGA for selling natural therapies to grown adults that are more than capable of making their own health decisions.
Anyway, apologies for the late email, Vic has been off injured and I almost didn't send an email at all this month with my backlog of work. But this subject really needed to be mention. The upcoming digital ID is the step needed to bring in a cashless society with social credit system. Don't let it happen. Resist. No business can force you to use a digital ID, it's in the legislation, so don't let them. Government departs etc will act like it is your only option, it's not. Even if you think the Digital ID is convenient, please resist, you'll regret going along with it in the future.
I am working on an offline paper or pdf catalogue with offline payments, but I am still trying to get my head around how to do it. I'd love your suggestions.
